Dr. Jeanette Kern is a nationally recognized leader in the fields of cosmetic, restorative and general dentistry. She taught at the UCLA School of Dentistry and the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. Dr. Kern graduated at the top of her class from the UCLA School of Dentistry. Each year, she completes hundreds of hours of post-doctoral, continuing education with the world’s leading dental pioneers.
Dr. Kern is the first and only female member of the Monterey Dental Peer Review Board, a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Monterey Bay Dental Society, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Kern has completed extensive post-doctoral research and certification with Doctors for Oral Conscious Sedation, the Hornbrook Group, the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, and NYU’s Aesthetic Advantage Program.
An active member of our scientific and business community, Dr. Kern received the Monterey Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Award for Health Care in 2009 and the Professional Women’s Network Woman of the Year Award in 2007. Dr. Kern consistently contributes to the community through her Smiles for Life Campaign, by providing an annual scholarship for a college-bound student at Monterey High School, and by serving on the boards of several non-profit organizations.
